PizzaExpress is a restaurant group with over 470 restaurants across the United Kingdom and 100 overseas in Europe, Middle East and Asia. It was founded in 1965 by Peter Boizot. They opened doors to their fourth restaurant in Singapore in December 2017. Pizza Express pride themselves in creating restaurants with individual styles and great design. Always trying to incorporate elements of the neighbourhood that their restaurants are situated in into the overall design of that particular restaurant.
The restaurant at Marina One was pegged to be a PizzaExpress Live venue. Live music has always been an important part of PizzaExpress. Founder Peter Boizot was a jazz lover and constantly sought ways to include music in his restaurants. Using modern printing technique on brushed metal, the graphics are bold silhouette mash-ups of music and typography.
